Q: Why design?
A: "Design is everywhere. From the furniture you sleep on to the newspaper and web sites you read. Design engulfs everyday life. I eat design for breakfast, with rice milk."
Q: How did you become a designer?
A: "I didn't stumble upon design as career, I have been a designer my entire life. Growing up I was always the class 'artist'. As a teenager and young adult I pursued art. Many of my paintings, photographs or sculptures were displayed in various gallery and museum exhibits. However, as an adult, I realized that I was not an artist for the sake of personal art. Rather, I was a talented artist for the visual appeal of target audiences. It was at that time that I focused my vivant energy toward a career in design. I soon discovered that web design offered a technical aspect that I would thrive upon."
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: "Designing, of course! Geographically speaking, I love the Pacific Northest. The state's varied and changing climates offer seasonal respite. Regarding the future of design, I will continue to educate myself on the latest technologies and design trends. Most of all, I will continue to hone my design skills daily - resulting in a higher evolution of design."
